For those of you that cant get into the Kodi App and set it up.....Highly suggest if you tired of paying extremely high prices for TV to go try out their free 7-day trial. I am on day two and I'm sold on it.

I get the following channels:

ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN NEWS, SEC Network, Fox, FS1, FS2, TNT, TBS, AMC, A&E, CNN, Disney, Cartoon Network, History, Food Channel, HG TV, IFC, Viceland, Free Form, Adult Swim, Maker, Bloomberg, Newsy, Travel, FX, Tru TV, BeIn Sports, ESPN GoalLine, ESPN BasesLoaded, ESPN Buzzer Beater, Outside TV, Univision Deportes, ABC

All together thats 34 channels, plus I get all locals via HD Antenna for less than $40 a month...with no contract. Also have the choice to add HBO, Cinemax and others.... If you dont have a ChromeCast, Roku, XBOX ONE, Kindle Fire Stick all you have to do is pre-pay 3 months and they send you a free Roku. They are also in the middle of adding local channels very soon.

Great deal, runs off your internet or data connection via phone.... Can use it on TV, Computer, Tablet or Phone...

Like I said, Im absolutely loving it!

Even though he does suck, everybody needs to give Sean a big ol' collective break -- at least he didn't mention drones or soccer this time.

BTW, I realize a few other posters that I highly respect/like have already mentioned drones and soccer, but, when you think about it, can those items be referenced enough when it comes to Sean?

I think not.

We subscribe to a service where we pretty much get every channel, sport, and movie available at the time, pretty similar to what I've had my other 36 years of living. Turns on /changes channels with the click of a button, Works in every room, can record, etc.

We do something similar for our phones, but it's a different company. Utilities as well. We pay the company & they provide the service to us in exchange to use pretty much however we see fit.

Highly recommend.

I don't get the "high prices" part. TWC wants $60 for 50mb internet only unless you're a new customer and even then the pricing isn't permanent. You're saying sling is $40. There's no savings to be had with that setup you mentioned vs what I have now 100mb, 250 channels,hd, dvr, all sports channels, etc $120, no contract.

Yeah but you get to brag about cutting cords and pretend like you're all grown up and too busy and mature to watch silly TV.

Can't really put a value on that imo, but it's apparently A LOT! All my 5 figure monthly-income-having baller friends who cut the cizzord are *really* crushing it now w/ the extra $30 they are saving.

I pay $75 for 50 Mgb Internet and to have HBO and all the ESPN's, if there was a cable package for that price I would gladly sign back up but my bill was $145 before I switched.

I also don't have kids and my wife doesn't watch anything but Netflix so Sling works better for me than most.

Man I stayed at a house with television last night and I was pumped about it. Let me tell you what I watched: Jumanji!!! They had alllllll the channels. There were Spanish duplicates of channels. They had music channels. Thousand channels. Jumanji.

Thinking about cutting the cord myself. Almost everything I watch except live sports can be had on the 'net for free. My cable/internet/landline bill is >$160/mo. I would get rid of the landline but inside of a 'package' it's cheaper to keep it than not. Internet only is about $75/month. Between Sling @$25/mo (only during CFB season, otherwise $20/mo - don't care about other sports enough to expand my subscription) and online content, I think I can save about $50-$75/month and not miss anything. Why wouldn't I do that? For the extra savings, I can just about hire a crew to cut my lawn twice a month. Sounds like a win-win to me.

We really do need to sticky a cutting cable thread to the top.. that topic comes up once a month and the answers don't really change.

This time of year, I barely touch TV let alone Sling.. there's no sports I want to watch and very minimal shows. I'm actually thinking of canceling it and saving some scratch, then signing back up in November.

You're getting butchered on the Rafters, don't try and shift the spotlight..
Haha, I ain't shifting ****. Those Rafters idiots couldn't butcher a stick of butter with a hot machete.

Hell, I got the idea for the thread from lurking in the N.O.B. (hat tip: JasonSpeers) and it's 4 pages of purely insane drivel. But it's May -- what else better is there to do?
