It has been a recurring theme this season. The 'Cats have closed the gap in many games, but why do they keep digging themselves that early hole in the first place? Maybe we don't have our best lineup as the starters?

This is exactly right. Collins chose a starting lineup and has stuck with it despite extensive evidence that it is an ineffective lineup.

I’ll gladly speculate that there’s something wrong with the pre game routines. Pure speculation but legitimate to question. This ain’t normal

A turn-around from a 5 pm game to a 2 pm game the next day is not easy at all. But think wearing down should show up in the 2nd half.

I don't disagree that consistently slow starts are a huge problem.

I'll state the obvious but this problem could've been avoided had we won enough games to start on day 2.

Would have expected more of a result like the Syracuse-Duke game withe The Cats wearing out after a really gritty fight, but this was over VERY early. Can't keep going down 15+ early. At some point you can't just turn it on and get back in it.

I would agree with this if we had gone down 10-12 early and the game stayed around there throughout. But Iowa got it to almost a 40 point game. This is domination in the beginning, in the middle and in the end.
