This is just for fun don't want anyone to get their feelings hurt. I will compare teams and it's not 100% but just to get some laughs and maybe to make someone's day. Anyone can feel free to chime in and give your two cents. Again this is just for fun.

Robbinsville - compares similar to Alabama with as many state and national championships one could say they are similar.

Murphy- LSU just because they don't have as many as Alabama but have had success. Someone could argue that Murphy with the recent dominance that Murphy has had since 2010 could be Alabama. But just for fun we will say they are LSU

Swain- you really have to respect the success that Swain has had since 1979 on. And when they are down most of the time still have a winning record. Swain Reminds me of Auburn. Have had championship teams. For Swain had a bad year last year. But lookout for 2019

Andrews- Another up and coming team like Kentucky good coaching and kids buying in to the program has them just one play away from being a top tier team.

Rosman- past traditions, and a team that in any year could punch you right in the gut, And shock alot of people. i would have to go with Arkansas

Hayesville- feels to me like Tennessee well last year during their coaching search. (Stay with me folks) the new superintendent seams to be like John Currie. Have had some success but none in the recent past.

Cherokee- Feels like Florida, have had success in the early 2000's-2007 range. And have got their new coach brought home a championship. And seams to be on the upswing.

Guys, I can't wait for football to be back. SMC looks to be competitive in 2019. The top looks really strong. The bottom half could land a punch in the playoffs and upset someone. But we shall see.

The only comparison that might stick is Hayesville/ tennessee self imploding thier own football programs. A Murphy or Florida fan could not have done a better job blowing up a rival program than Hayesville and Tennessee did to themselves...poor hire after poor hire after poor hire by both.....

While I agree with some of the hires were bad, Dockery wasn’t for two years he had a lack of overall talent and this past year could have been his best year but was devastated by the injury bug! Any team that lost as many starters as Hayesville (in 1A) would of had the same outcome!

Dockery was not a bad hire...but you say this would have been his best year if not for the injuries..Had he not had one single injury this year at Hayesville, where would he have finished in the SMC?

They wouldn’t have finished last! You do realize that during the course of the year they lost 3 running backs and 2 quarterbacks which one was another running back and receiver. All 5 were 2 way starters! If Robbinsville would have lost Anderson and Hooper how would they have done! I also said it would have been his best year, didn’t say they would have won the conference!
