i was only 220 yards out on both par fives playing a tad downwind. Shot a 40 on back nine as I took a penalty stroke on last hole. I can play to a 5-7 handicap as long as it hit my normal shots from 130 yards in.. Let's play soon.

Had an eagle putt twice in last 10 days. Today was a 505 yard course. I hit 13-18 greens!

I hate to throw a wet blanket on your Oakmont round but you might have used 78 putts if you had actually played the course. Oakmont 's greens are rock hard and fast. I have not played the course since all the trees were removed but. I doubt the greens were touched

I am glad your game is improving as mine has deteriorated to the point where it is no longer enjoyable
