If I recall he did pretty well at Missouri - guy can coach but since he’s a dukie idk if he’d come here
He was “ok” at Mizzou. I had to look back to see specifics. Never finished the season ranked in the top 25 and never finished higher than 5th in conference play. Also got the team on 3 years probation for recruiting violations.

I would think he catches on in the NBA again.

Snyder had a lot of hype going into Missouri but outside of one wild Elite Eight run as #12 seed (IIRC) he didn't do much. What I remember most about him in the college ranks was near the end of his tenure when he was heading to the locker room and a player dumped popcorn on his head.

As a Jazz fan he did a lot of good things for the franchise but could never get the team to the Western Conference Finals. From what I've read he wanted more input on personnel decisions, was denied that ability, and hence he is walking.

If Snyder were to return to college, I think you are more likely to see him on a Duke shortlist than Kentucky.

That Missouri team was loaded with talent and underperformed in the regular season - recall they had 3-4 pros maybe including Kareem rush - one of the best 12 seeds in history

That was 20 years ago I think the big 12 was better back then now - despite the obvious Kansas being a powerhouse you also had kelvin sampson at Oklahoma / Texas was very good back then / tx tech had Bobby knight around that time / was that around when Sutton was at ok state

Yeah, he'll likely get another NBA job. If you can remain gainfully employed in the NBA, you'd be insane to take a college job.

This. Was mediocre in college. Honestly was surprised he ever got a shot in the NBA. Did better than expected but still nothing worth fretting about.

Snyder is just 55. Jazz were never winning anything anyways. Curious where he goes from here.
Yep. They were always going to be in the middle which might as well be death for an NBA organization. You're not winning anything as the 4th-5th seed. You need at least two offensive studs to get to the Finals most of the time.
