So, how strong is Perine?

I was lucky enough to see Earl Campbell play a lot while I lived in Houston and he was a beast of a running back. Tops as far as I'm concerned as a pro. This kid reminds me of Earl in so many ways. Earl was faster, but Perine is damn strong and has a legit chance to win the next Heisman as a Sooner barring injury. He has only two years to do so because he is going pro after the 2016 season.

Yep, lots of parallels with Earl the Pearl.
I do hope Perine doesn't do that head butt thing that Earl was famous for. Though not very likely, one could in theory break your own neck doing that shtick.

(although, it's damn fun to watch)

Agree that Perine is the closest Sooner running back I've seen to Earl Campbell. Earl was faster but Perine is still a beast. Between him and Mixon, we have the potential of the best thunder/lightning combination we've ever had.
