So I started a thread on UNC's board about John Wall.

It went like this.

"From my understanding John Wall was never offered by UNC for whatever reasons. Reading (the fox oral history), Wall was quoted:

"Wall: I went up there my junior year (for a recruiting visit),
but they didn't want to offer me. (And then, when they did offer) they
wanted me to commit on the spot. I was like, "I don't want to commit on
the spot. If you think I'm good enough, offer me." But they didn't. So
when we played them, I was so hype."

The story is about how Wall helped make UK the brand they are today.

The thread was deleted within TWO MINUTES. Not locked, but straight deleted as if they want to continue to believe Wall was never offered and let no proof that he was in fact offered by Roy.

I just found it silly how people still resort to censorship as a way to control the knowledge of their own posters.

I couldn't imagine that type of censorship flying here.

The North Carolina Scout board is by far their biggest forum . For some reason it is for lots of schools . Anyway they are much more sensible on that forum .

I remember arguing with one of their fans right after the Wall recruitment on this board. This was of course back when they weren't too embarrassed to post here. They don't want to admit they wanted Wall and we took him right out of their back yard.

I did post it on the Rivals forum. I guess they are just Roy level sensitive there.

I didn't say anything out of the way, just posted the Wall quoted and left it at that and brought up how he helped make the UK brand we're seeing today. Not a single negative thing to UNC, Roy, or their fanbase.

I think it was my second post ever on their forum.

To be honest, I guess I can kind of get their insecurities right now with the scandal, Roys record against Cal at UK, and the way this season is going.

The last thing they need is this quote (that came out today), and their own fans piling own. It's cowardly, but I get it.

Just as they can never say (with a straight face), "The Carolina Way", they can also never say "we never offered Wall".

Pretty pathetic, but I understand.

THR is really nothing more than a cheerleader forum. Very little debate is allowed. And, at the same time, they never seem to allow anything posted that doesn't fit with the idea that UNC*** is morally superior ot every other program.

In the current thread that was started by a Vol fan about the scandal NOBODY is really laying out the scope of the allegations. Instead, they all tow the party line and say that "mistakes were made."

To quote a well-known movie, they "can't handle the truth!"

They had to delete it since they can't explain missing on Wall with their previous tactic of snobbery. That self-presentation is laughable now to anyone who knows the name UNC.

By the way, Mike the mod, has stated clearly that he reads the UNC*** threads over here. UNCfaninky was caught using an alias to post here trying to pose as a UK fan.

So, keep in my mind, that they are so insecure that they come here looking for what we say about them. I only go there to see what they are saying about their own scandal. I don't care what they think of us.

I certainly understand them not wanting folks to know how they missed on John Wall. They were geese.
