Just put up 21 on a perennial tournament team in Cincinnati to help Colgate shock the Bearcats. He looked good, hitting all kinds of shots.

Boy, those post-tournament years were a disaster for Collins. I hope he at least learned something.

I think he also had an awful game against a good team earlier. Hard to know off a single game. He also may have taken time away from developing our younger players which is what we need to do now.

Rap was too slow (and oft-injured) to offer much for meaningful minutes at NU. It was better for him and the team that he moved elsewhere to start anew.

I think we definitely could have used him. But you're right, sometimes people just need a fresh start. Don't think we would have ever seen this version of Rap at NU. He needed the playing time that Colgate could provide. And I'm sure he's playing with a lot more confidence than he ever had at NU
