Can’t say I’m terribly surprised at Levis sitting out….. Can’t help but wonder whether or not CRod will play? I certainly have no insight in his thought process, just thought I’d throw this out there…..

I will say that I hope he plays.

I guess I get that C-Rod has a shot at an NFL career, but the decision for Levis is a lot different than Rodriguez. Levis has a shot at being a top 5 pick. Fanhood will tell you that he C-Rod is going to be an NFL star and high draft pick, (much like they did Snell) but he's not. He doesn't have the speed for it. So I am not sure I agree when people say if plays he is a fool. For me he has no more to lose than any other player and in that rationale, they shouldn't even play the bowl game period.

If he doesn't play, our RB room is LEAN - McClain and Wright is about it. Maybe Beckwith gets a few carries but basically not many bodies in that room w/out Smoke, CRod and Drennan. Never even heard of O'Horo and Dixon who are listed on the roster so I'm guessing they won't get any carries.

Without Levis, you'd have to assume the playbook would be very thin to begin with. Without CRod, also, should we just try to score on defense and punt returns and not play any offense at all?

Someone tell me again how 43 bowls make sense when many teams see their best players opt out of minor (pronounced 'meaningless') bowls thus making ho-hum matchups with everyone playing into complete snooze fests where none of the stars play and it's one team's backups vs. another's. Let's not forget the fans in the stands who number in the hundreds.

I've seen Chris as the 10th or 11th best RB in a couple mock drafts. He is playing in the Sr. Bowl on Feb 4th. I could see him as 50/50 to play.

He won’t play in Music - Senior Bowl much more important
With a 4 team playoff - these games are irrelevant anymore

And soon to be 12. I dont think it will stop there either and will grow to at least 16.

You are gonna offend some delicate sensitive people on this forum though with that take on the 100 random bowls.

Why is the senior bowl more important? I genuinely don’t know, and can’t think if a single reason why it should be. Just the scouts’ presence? You’d think the all-star format would mitigate against any meaningful assessment.

He’s not a sure fire nfl draft pick. Different than Levis. If he’s playing in the senior bowl then why not our bowl?

If he doesn’t play then I say grann-daddy take the wheel. Run the wildcat all day. Channel the ghost of jo jo kemp. Get weird and stay weird.

C-Rod's draft status will depend on his combine numbers. I have no clue how he will test. But if he can run 4.6ish show exploveness in the jumps he will get drafted. But I don't think he can afford to bomb the test.

Oh I absolutely think he will get drafted probably anywhere from rounds 4-7 - which the tests will determine

No tellin. Hope he plays, too, but we don't even have an OC yet. He also won't have Levis in there

He needs to avoid the senior bowl. It's an injury factory, imo, and rarely boosts the stock of someone already well known.

Money, money, money. How much can CRod make at UK next year? He does have an optional year left. Not saying thats happening but it is a possibility. Look at the records he could set.
