So this is the "easy" part of our schedule?

Three of our next four games are @Wisconsin, @Merry Land, and @Iowa. Granted, we play at home against PSU somewhere in there, but that's brutal.

If we can somehow win one of those road games and take care of business against PSU, I'll be thrilled. We could very easily have a 4-8 conference record after this easy stretch of our schedule. I think we need to be 5-7 to keep our Dancing hopes alive.

If you look at the entire remainder of our schedule, it is significantly easier. We played 3 BIG games vs, top-10 opponents to date; it is unlikely that we will have a single top-10 opponent the remainder of the season. In fact, we have only two opponents on the remainder of our schedule who are currently ranked;, while we have 3 opponents -- Illinois, Rutgers and Penn State, that have a combined 3 conference wins.

Agree, I see at Wisc, at MD and at Iowa as our 3 toughest remaining games arguably. If we can split the next 4 we keep hope alive, but that's a tall order.

I’ve always divided in my mind first 10 vs back 10. So easier half comes after @Wisc and @Md. If we can actually get one more of the next 2 and get to 4-6 that isn’t bad... might be easier said than done though. Two tough places to play and Maryland looks good right now.

They were pretty easy when NJCat risked his screenname on them!
Board Rules violation:
  1. No attacking other posters. If you feel the need to harass another poster, don't do it. What is considered attacking other posters?
    • Bringing up their name in posts that they did not start or were not involved in, just to get a reaction from them.
    • Consistently responding to their posts and responding with no merit other than to belittle them.
    • In short, making a poster a target.

True, though in addition to Md and IA (each away), Nebraska (away), Wisconsin (2x), and Purdue (home) are all in 26-30 of the rankings. Neb Wiscy and Purdue are also 15, 13, and 10 in Kenpom. Strangely, MD is 18 and IA is 24 of Kenpom...

Wasn't bringing it up to get a eeaction from you. Obvious joke is obvious. Now, if I had responded "Chambers has lost his team!" THAT, might have been an attack. Or it might have been even funnier...

Everything is hard in the Big Ten. But @MSU and @Michigan, both of which NU is now done with, are the two hardest.

And PSU is 64 in Kenpom (only 8 spots behind us) and even Illinois is 94th despite a 5-14 record. Tons of opportunities down the stretch to build a resume but even the “easier” games really aren’t. Eight more wins seems like the sweet spot to me to be in the tourney mix, seven might at least lock up an NIT bid.
