Just took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 7th, but now a rain delay....

In the other thread we all tried to figure out tiebreakers, but we all missed that Minnesota will have played 1 fewer conference game than Northwestern due to weather. We will finish ahead of the Gophs regardless now, with a 2.5 game lead over them and 2 to play.
Pretty clear we will need to go 23-0 in the Big Ten to win the conference title outright. That's insane.

But we play 24 conference games and Mich 23 right? Conference standing have us at 22-0 with two to play so win one more and we would win by virtue of playing one more game wouldn't we? Or does that Indiana game not count?
Wherever you saw it listed that way .... they are wrong. If it's on our official site, shame on us.
Most likely the best we can do is 22-1 and co-champs and top seed. But it will take our best game to do that.
Unfortunately, couldn't beat them on their Senior Day, as their ace pitched all three games and was phenomenal (just one unearned run). But fortunately, she is an upperclassman and our ace is just a freshman, so better days ahead.
#2 seed in the BTT and a first round bye. We play in the first game on Friday vs. the winner of #7 Indiana and #10 Penn State, on BTN. Kinda caught a break with the seedings, as Michigan would likely face a semifinal matchup vs. the only team that has beaten them in BIG play, Ohio State.
And the other decent news is that the baseball team, after a disastrous series vs. a terrible MSU team last weekend has fought themselves back into BTT tournament contention (for the unfamiliar, only the top 8 of the 14 teams qualify for the tourney, as it is a double-elim format so it's a big deal) with two consecutive wins against 3rd-place Nebby, with the series wrapping up tomorrow. They currently stand at 8-9 in the BIG, tied for 7th with Rutgers and Maryland; we currently lose the tiebreaker to Maryland, but play Rutgers in a critical 3-game series next weekend...

The softball team had an amazing B1G season. Not losing a single game until the final series of the season, for a team this young, is a spectacular feat. I hope they destroy every team they face in the B1G tournament.
