So was that a pass AND reception to himself?

Third quarter when SJ was hit from behind as he was passing and the ball popped up. Did they score that as a pass or a run?

Great win yesterday. Living here among the thugs will be a lot easier this year!

Actually wondered about that as well, after watching the replay I think it is a run,the ball never went forward so I guess it was a fumble recovery.

I dont think SJ was hit at all he just lost grip on the pigskin.
You have to know that after that happened and he regained possession of the ball and ran for about 15 yds and a 1st that it was going to be UKs day.

I think the defender got a hand on either the ball or his arm. I don't think he just lost his grip.

KWilt43atbuzz, you ain't kiddin'.

When it happened, I said God was wearing Blue.

But it takes me back to the Cobb days, when lots of folks wished he could throw passes to himself.

I don't think it is scored as anything other than a "lucky break". [winking] His arm was hit, the ball bounced out of his hands but he caught/recovered it in air and got a nice run. Think of a RB bobbling but not losing the ball on a toss sweep.

Peace

When that happened I started to think that we really might win it. Kentucky never gets a break like that and when we did it was like the football gods were smiling down on us.

Yea like the non pi calls and tackling of our dlineman with no holding calls. But our guy got called for tugging fields jersey a touch lol. Those darn lucky breaks.

It couldn't have been a pass since you aren't allowed to complete a pass to yourself.

So if you pass & it's blocked by a DLman, the passer can't catch it & run with it? I think the passer can do that & it's a completion.
