So we have another white person claiming to be black...I guess I don't get it

And this clown is from Kentucky.

I truly don't care that there are folks that are pretending to be a different race, but i am curious as to the motivation...are they pure hucksters? are they mentally ill? Do you wake up one day and think, Gee, I feel like an Eskimo today...lets go with that? There is a link in the story that claims to address those questions but its awfully short and I am way to ignorant of those things to know whether it is on to something or not.

Don't get it with either race or gender. Don't really care, though, what someone 'self-identifies' as. However, when we start legally recognizing self-identification then I have big problem. Just because mentally you feel like something other than what you were born does not give you any legal rights as someone who IS actually a particular gender or race. I guess my 20-year old daughter can 'self-identify' as a 22-year old and go buy alcohol legally - right? Or my son can self-identify as an African American woman with cerebral palsy and force his employer to make allowances for him, provide perks, move him up the corporate ladder to fulfill some misguided notion of 'diversity'? Give me a freakin' break. Enough with the PC mumbo-jumbo. I may think I'm a Denzell Washington lookalike but in no way shape or form should anyone be legally entitled to treat me as such (Disclosure: I'm just about the whitest person ever - can't tan a lick).

Love that he tried to claim Kentuckians hated him in high school for being black. What a POS. These nut jobs blow my mind. i do love his fake persecution act and his deliberate attempt at making his photos black and white. I think it's pretty obvious he is white.

Seems this guy enjoyed 90s rap a little too much.

Also the BLM movement is beyond stupid considering what's going on in Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, etc yet only seems to get loud when a white is involved.

I don't know if I would say he looks black, but he does remind me of a lot of UofL fans

Isn't their horses born black and then turn white? Their has to be something that is born white then turn black so anything is possible.

King says the white man listed on his birth certificate isn't his biological father, that his mother had had an affair with a black man. Don't know for sure what the truth is here, but seeing pictures of King now and as a teenager, he certainly looks mixed-race to me, and doesn't really look like the white man in that article.

I've known Shaun since he was in 3rd grade, people have always identified him as mixed race. I wasn't real close with him, probably actually spent more time with the crew that beat his *** so I'm not taking sides on the argument. Shaun used to claim to be white, but still got called ****** by a lot of people so no matter what he self identified as, he was already socially cast.

To be honest, I don't really see what difference it makes what his heritage is. If you care, you're likely a big part of the problem.

Hey homeskillet, I'm not the one who had made a career of this. Maybe you should hit the reset on your take and come again.

I wouldn't expect you to get it. I don't have a problem with your lifestyle but for some reason it's a straight / hetero thing.

Guy looks just as black as Devin Booker.

Just because some guy's name is on his birth certificate doesn't mean that is his real dad. Birth certificates are not authenticated by DNA tests. Perhaps further attention-whoring with an appearance on Maury is warranted?

What does this guy do to earn money besides being an "activist"? What did he do before "Black Lives Matter"? Was that minority scholarship worth anything in the real world?

I don't think it really matters, but the dude is offering himself up as a liar. I don't give two ***** about race, but I will not abide a liar.

Are you surprised at my tears? Strong men also cry.
