Great find! Love KJ getting some attention from pretty rational analytics-driven coverage. If KJ can make that leap to consistent contributor, I feel real good about NU's chances at a mid-table finish.

Just watched this again, this may be one of the most informed discussion of NU I have heard in a podcast. They actually nailed Collins reliance on older guys (unless his hand is forced), recognized the reason the season was less then what was expected (key injuries). Listening a little more, these guys do their homework.

I believe Collins learned a great deal from the "we want to play fast", 5 out 5 in at the first timeout, season. That's a good thing. We can argue the pendulum might have swung too much the other way, but the shift was definitely a good thing. And a testament to his ability to change and swallow some pride. Inevitably every coach has to do that as the game and times change. Change always happens at some point. Every sport.

Ultimately, relying a lot or not on older guys, is not inherently a good or bad thing. It's all about playing to your roster strengths and weaknesses.
