These are not ranked just a random list of names based on (3) criteria. 1) No big names or from the elite blue blood programs. 2) Need based. 3) Guys that should not get a ton of interest from the elite blue blood programs. So, I think I am being extremely reasonable relative to what Fran's capabilities are in the portal.

The guards are in two groups. Combo guards that can score or more pure shooting guards like Rohde and Wojick (again I am not aiming for the moon here). The bigs are versatile from Mast who I would liken to a shorter Garza (good inside and a very capable 3 point shooter who plays his A** off) . Kuany and Ike remind me of Olaseni; tall, lanky, athletic floor runners that are active on both ends and would be great on the back or front end of the press.

If I had to pick my top 3 it would be Nelson Jr., Ike, and Russell. Noland will likely get a lot of interest from P5 programs which puts Fran at a disadvantage.

Tom says I have lost all objectivity regarding Fran and I can't say he is wrong. So let's see what Fran does now that he has NIL money and the team is in desperate need of a talent and experience infusion.

CJ Noland / SG form Oklahoma
Kunay Kunay / C or PF from Cal
Jameer Nelson Jr. / SG from Delaware
Phillip Russell / G from SEMO
Joseph Yesufu / G from KU via Drake
Graham Ike / C or PF from Wyoming
Rienk Mast / PF from Bradley
Andrew Rohde / SG from St. Thomas
Damian Dunn / CG from Temple
Mike Mitchell / PG from Pepperdine
Paxson Wojick / SG from Brown

I would add Lars Thiemann from Cal to the list. 6'10, 250. Dude has a big body, moves pretty well and averaged almost 10 ppg. Watching all the teams in tourney without a true 5 makes me question the necessity of traditional posts in today's game. Conceptually I like the idea as you can play inside/out which decreases the emphasis on 3-point shooting but they have to be athletic + to play in Fran's system. Amazing what Rebraca was able to accomplish being undersized. Dude flat out battled every second he was on the court.

Caleb Grill from ISU and Jordan Davis from Wisconsin in the portal. Not sure how Grill has two years remaining after starting at ISU going to UNLV back to ISU now back in the portal.

Danilo Jovanovich transferring from Miami and hails from Milwaukee. Had IL and PSU offers out of high school. 6'7, 200 PF. He looks like a Fran player from the highlights. Runs the floor, scores at all 3 levels, decent handles. Suspect he he ends up at WI or Marquette.
