# 1 How serious is Carson Coleman's arm injury ?
# 2 When will or if T J Collett return to active playing status ?
# 3 Would a 15-15 final SEC record get UK a regional host bid ?
# 4 If UK is not a Regional host, where might they land ?

I just looked at the baseball america projection (just their opinion, but probably more educated than most of us), and they have us going to Corvallis to be the 2-seed to Oregon state and Fullerton as the 3 seed. That would be a HORRIBLE draw if it came to fruition. I think it would be more likely that we get sent to Minneapolis, one of the North Carolina schools (Duke, UNC, Or ECU) or Clemson.

To your questions, I have no idea on #1 and #2.

On #3, I think we'd have a shot depending on what happens around us. We'd have to win both of our remaining SEC series so that we would have a 6-4 SEC series record + an OOC series win over Texas Tech.

I posted my thoughts on #4 above.

A 15-15 SEC record would probably not get us a host but they may not be a bad thing. One projection has UK hosting with Indiana as a 2, UofL a 3 and Tennessee Tech as the 4. Woof that's a regional draw.

I think UK ends up in the Carolinas more than likely. My guess is Eastern Carolina as a 2 seed.

That would be a Horrible place to be put, I do not think they would send us that far. I say Minnesota, or the Carolina's like you stated.

Can't see Tenn. Tech as a 4 seed, they are an OVC team, but they are an outstanding ball club. They have beaten both Tennessee and Vandy on the road the past couple of weeks.

I coached one of the TTU players in high school...he was a little guy but could tell as an 8th grader he had the IT factor...busted it in the weight room to make up for his lack of size and has hit 14 or 15 bombs. Really impressed by him - and they had a 27 or 28 game win streak this season...that's crazy.

Do we know for sure that Coleman has an arm injury?

What I know is that he warmed up on Friday, but didn't go in. Later in the game I noticed he had the full ice and tape treatment. Originally I was worried because it was on the full arm, but I took a breath a believed that it was probably just normal icing after warming up. Sunday he had the same ice on his arm, but I never noticed him warming up. So, it made me again wonder if he had injured the arm. This is just me wondering, but I'm not sure if he actually did hurt something.

Update:

D1 baseball has their projection out this afternoon and they have us as a 2 seed in Stillwater with Oklahoma State as the host. I'm surprised Okie State is a host, given that they lost their series to Iowa last weekend. We'd be paired with Missouri State, a solid club every year that usually gives Arkansas fits in the tourney.

#2 I doubt we see Collett again in 2018.

#3 Depends on what other teams do I think. We might need a bit of help or need a good SEC tournament showing.

#4 It depends. Hard to say right now, but one thing to remember is that it is supposed to be snaked. So, if we just miss the 1 seed then we should be playing a 14, 15, or 16 seed.

I think ECU getting a host is entirely dependent upon whether or not they beat UConn. I think the winner of that series will probably get the nod. I don't think two teams from that conference will host.

We also need Auburn to bomb. They have jumped into a hosting with a great RPI and then sweeping Vanderbilt. They close out with Ole Miss and LSU, so they could struggle a bit the next two weekends.

They are on road at Ole Miss, so I could see them losing that series. LSU is dicier, but they usually get hot toward the end of the season...

Coleman didn't pitch any at UT, and didn't pitch last night. That leads me to believe he has some sort of injury, hopefully minor.
