Some stats that gave me a chuckle:

- Arkansas bench combined for 8 total points.
- 13 assists, 11 turnovers.
- Big Z a measley 2 points.
- Johnell Davis, a fifth-year senior with Final Four experience, takes the 4th most shots on the team behind the likes of Freshman Boogie Fland and Sophomore DJ Wagner.

I actually thought he would put a little more effort into actually coaching. Glad to be wrong!
Cal coached his a$$ off tonight.
That was the problem. He was out on the floor calling every offensive play down the stretch.

The more he coached, the worse they played.

Give him another month with these players and you won't recognize this team.

Well, I know Calipari never mentioned it, but Anthony Davis took the 5th most shots in the championship game.

Arkansas lost to a team that lost by 38 points a few days ago. What is the shame in that? Well, I guess there is a little shame in that…
Yes which made Baylor all that more dangerous. Word of advise, don’t ever bet on sports with logic like yours.

lol. So losing by 38 makes a team BETTER? By that logic Wright State could beat an NBA team in its next game after the beating Kentucky gave them.

Losing by 38 doesn’t make you more dangerous. It exposes all the ways you aren’t good.

Luckily for Baylor, Arkansas is even worse that they are.

But thanks for the “advise.”

Yeah I noticed Thiero struggling late with cramps because he didn’t sub that entire second half. He’s gonna wear guys down and Knox/Richmond gonna be real frustrated not seeing the court.

This is not surprising to me at all. This board extremely overrates Big Z and did all last year too. Everyone fell in love with him immediately based on a 16 minute sample size in his first game against Georgia last year. And to be fair, he looked like a legit superstar then. But if you take remove that, he shot 19% from 3 last year and everyone acts like he's a sharpshooter. Plus he is constantly lost on the defensive end.

He's still a giant work in progress and not nearly as good as people say. He's a perfect example of a modern Cal player; a lot of potential that people confuse with current skill.

Did you watch Arkansas play tonight? If so — or if you’ve ever watched any Cal team — then you would know why Z shot so poorly from 3. It’s because the shots they take are garbage and don’t come within the flow of any real offensive scheme. Cal’s “offense” isn’t designed to get him, or any other shooter, quality looks. If Arkansas couldn’t score in transition tonight, they couldn’t score. Same as it ever was. Contrast that with what we’ve seen from UK in the first two games… outstanding ball movement leading to WIDE OPEN looks on nearly every possession.

I'm not talking about tonight. I'm talking about last year. Z shot 19% from 3 for us if you remove the Georgia game. As he currently stands, Z is overrated.

One thing to point out. If Baylor was hot from 3, they would have won by 10-14-maybe even 20 points. The 2nd half, Baylor was cold from beyond the arc. However once it got below 2 minutes, and Baylor had the lead; I told the guys watching the game that it was over…why? Because I’ve watched us squander the opportunities to fight back by poor play selection (aka: nonexistent) and horrid defense. Then terrible game management by NOT to calling a timeout to draw up a real play to ger points. It was a bonefide Cal clinic.

I know you’re talking about last year. Cal didn’t run **** for Z all year. He ran a couple pick and roll lob plays @Mississippi State and then never even ran those again, let alone plays designed to get Z open looks from deep.
