The ut shorthorns were swept in 3 straight run-rule games in norman by the undefeated and top-ranked OU softball team this weekend. the dominating performance was apparently foreseen by the shorties coach mike white, who prophetically told the austin-american statesman "we know we're not gonna win the series but to steal one game would be good" or words to that effect. for the coach of a top-10 team on a 17-game winning streak to admit his team would be lucky to not get swept is amazing.

Outscored UT 30 to 3 in 3 games. Texas is the second rated offense in softball. The problem is that UT just faced the top rated offense/defense in softball. OU plays Georgia today in a double-header. OU is on track to break all team records such as undefeated, team home runs, Alo single HRs, etc. OU topped 100 home runs this weekend. OU had 13 HRs in one game this year against UTEP.
Down 2-1 @ UGA (& that was a gift; UGA hit a 2 run HR but 1 runner forgot to touch home plate & was called out) going to bottom of 5th.
No problem, just glad to still be giving them. By all rights this should have already been a L.
Hate to say it but they needed to lose a game. This team is without a doubt the team to beat but the last thing we need is for them to think they are invicible.
