The officials are screwing the Hawaii opponent again and the game is running long with all fouls the Rainbows are shooting. Tigers are running out of guys. Were up nine at 60 to 51, and more than that earlier. Now Hawaii up 73 to 67 with under two minutes remaining. Hawaii is getting every call. Kinda like watching Duke in the NCAAs.

Sooners will not start until after 8 pm in the tournament title game.

Was hoping for UNI to get a shot at the Sooners (I'd always pull for OUr guys first), the Panthers are decent but they have plenty of room to grow.

I hope the stripes don't find a way to mess with the good guys.

Harvard is an interesting team. They have lost their point guard to a summer injury and they're at .500. But they have played some pretty good teams and are a solid team. Their depth isn't as good as OU's, but they are playing well and it's tied at 24 halfway through the first half.

Down two at the break. Not a great offensive output from the Sooners as Hield and Woodard are the only guys who can put the ball in the hoop.

Yeah, I hope our bench will tell the tale and pull this out.

Must be the oxygen rich air there at sea level.
Our guys are used to the thin air of Norman at 1171 feet.

Give Kruger credit. He knew the Ivy League teams are tough to beat in a half court game but if you can turn it into a track meet, your chances of winning increase exponentially.

Hawaii now on a 12-0 run to take a 20 point lead down to eight. We seem to have a bad habit of letting teams back into the game.

Lead down to five and Harvard has the ball with plenty of time left...starting to sweat a little.

I am at a loss to figure out why Kruger does not call a time out to gather the team when they go brain dead for 5+ minutes. They let a 20 point lead go to a 5 point lead by unbelievably sloppy play. Bad passes, poor balling handling and poor shots let Harvard back in the game. This will haunt OU against a much better team (ISU and KU).

I think Coach Kruger is using these early season games to get his "new" big guys get some quality time, which he knows they will need later on. They were off several times on fast breaks and need to get comfortable going to the basket on offensive sets. Bottom line, get in synch with the starters. Our starters play like a well-oiled machine most of the time and defense looks solid for this early in the season. Nice to see they can "turn it on" when they need to, but need depth improvement to be a true Final 4 team.

At the risk of repeating myself back in late September/early October, they appear to be getting better every game and they have a LOT of potential. We'll see.
