Since the moment he announced his abrupt retirement, college football fans have said that Steve Spurrier would make a perfect analyst. That may become a reality this fall. The sharp-witted former Florida and South Carolina head coach told The State that he is in talks with the SEC Network about potentially joining the network this fall

The head ball coach would mean as much to SEC football telecasts as Dizzy Dean did to national baseball telecasts in the 60s. Think really good ratings.

Oh he would give us a tough time, lol, but if he is replacing Tebow I can deal with it. I respect Tebow for what he is and how he stands up for his beliefs, but he is painful to listen to and watch on SEC network.

I don't think we need multiple announcers from the same school while other have none.
