South Carolina is a much better team at home and this game is winnable. Hoping South Carolina get fan support for this night game. I could be wrong, but I believe the last time Texas came to Columbia was either in 1979 or 1980 with South Carolina winning at Carolina Coliseum and might have been Coach McGuire last basketball season coaching before stepping away

Announcers stated that the last time the USC men played Texas prior to last night was 1982. Based on your comment, the 1982 game was probably not in Columbia.
Prior to last night, the last time Texas played in Columbia was 23 December 1980.
I was thinking this based on being at that game. Home on leave while in the USAF. Time flies by.....
I was ten years old. What I think I remember it was an evening game I think I watched it on television. One correction I have to make in my original post is it was Bill Foster coaching that game. Coach McGuire stepped away the previous season 1979-80.
