South Carolina announces future opponent
South Carolina Gamecocks announce an opponent for 2026 schedule.
The ACC is a breather scheduleGeez. Get over it. Name me one SEC or ACC team that doesn't have a breather or two on the schedule. Would have preferred another team but I don't know the details that went into the decision.
I don’t follow another SEC or any ACC team — and I do not care one whit what they do. I don’t care for this Towson crap and neither do the others on this free board…except, maybe you.Geez. Get over it. Name me one SEC or ACC team that doesn't have a breather or two on the schedule. Would have preferred another team but I don't know the details that went into the decision.
No need for insults. Just pointing out we don't exist in a vacuum and I did point out I would have preferred another opponent.I don’t follow another SEC or any ACC team — and I do not care one whit what they do. TOWSON??? Please…
Sunshine pumpers = those who enjoyed KY winSuNsHiNe PuMpErS are glad it’s not App State, Coastal or some other exciting team. Because sure Ws are fun to them and good for stats!
Most of the Big Boys don't go this obscure. Louisiana Monroe and Central Michigan are marquee programs compared to Towson State. To be fair, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt have future games scheduled with Norfolk State, which can be gotten even cheaper than the teams I mentioned above, but we should be aiming a little higher. And has been mentioned, we don't need to be reaching all the way to Maryland to bring in such a nondescript opponent.Sunshine pumpers = those who enjoyed KY win
Realists = “We wouldn’t have beat KY if they were full strength so I am pissed off” ( never mind SC is down umpteen starters on defense). Now I would like to turn my “realism” to Townsend State.
Overall I hate games like that but everyone including bama plays games like this.
Congrats on your usage of "Whom." You are NOT a tater.Whom did they play this past Saturday? Did they win? Actually, I thought they were an HBCU until I looked it up.
Agree we should be aiming higher. I dislike gamesMost of the Big Boys don't go this obscure. Louisiana Monroe and Central Michigan are marquee programs compared to Towson State. Towson State. They are adding FBS money games (https://towsontigers.com/news/2022/...-announces-future-games-vs-fbs-opponents.aspx). We shouldn't play ANY FCS school. We certainly shouldn't drag one in from 520 miles away.Agree we should be aiming higher. I dislike games
like Charlotte and SC State. But does it really matter if it’s Townsend State or Charlotte, or SCState, or whomever? If you are going to play one like that, the name doesn’t matter.
Bama has had Mercer, Kent State, Samford, etc. It’s pretty much all the same “who cares” type games. I don’t like playing teams like Wofford or the Citadel either. Just would rather play a Big 12 school or someone to get excited about.
That would be Morgan State or Coppin State.Whom did they play this past Saturday? Did they win? Actually, I thought they were an HBCU until I looked it up.
Would rather reach to Maryland to play the Terps for the first time since 1971,Most of the Big Boys don't go this obscure. You see how great they are…I don’t even know how to spell their name nor where they are located.Towson State. Dang straight.Would rather reach to Maryland to play the Terps for the first time since 1971,
Well, UGA played Oregon and Clemson. Alabama played Texas. So, not playing somebody cool actually hurts our recruiting and bowl selection chances. It sucks.Geez. Get over it. Name me one SEC or ACC team that doesn't have a breather or two on the schedule. Would have preferred another team but I don't know the details that went into the decision.
We play Clemson every year.Well, UGA played Oregon and Clemson. Alabama played Texas. So, not playing somebody cool actually hurts our recruiting and bowl selection chances. It sucks.
