I still don't understand how the heck this thing works, but I'm glad it does.
I read that’s a portion of the sky roughly the size of a grain of rice held at arm’s length on earth.
I’d have to estimate that the pic has trillions of dead souls in it. Poor things.
I always wanted to be an astronaut so I majored in cosmetology. It’s not nearly as interesting as you would think, they’re very hung up on image.

I'm generally well educated, fairly smart, and have tried to read a few space, quantum mechanics, and time type books and I can't make myself understand a damn word. All that stuff is simply beyond my mental capacity.
Don't feel bad. It's beyond anyone's mental capacity. Richard Feynman (a true legend in theoretical physics) once said, "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics."
The first image released with the countless galaxies in a tiny speck of sky, some of those are light emitted 10+ billion years ago. If every second of your life took an entire year, it would take 4 lifetimes for that light to get here.
Also I was explaining what a beaver was to my 3 year old son and realized it’s a weird stupid animal that’s entire purpose in life is to grab branches and tree limbs and make dams in tiny creeks and man what a stupid pointless life. Like WTF was the point of that animal what the hell
