I love SM and really hope they produce a great product here. The last ones sucked. I hope they do some cool villains with these also. I really like how Tom is playing SM.

Funny to see Donald Glover in this film as there was a big campaign for him to become the first black spiderman a few years ago and he has used this material in his stand up.

i enjoy all the MCU films to an extent but i hope this is more than just a few jokes and basic storyline. hey, at least we get some Iron Man.

saw this last night... really, really good.

Michael Keaton is incredible in his role.
Sweat I got my tickets locked in for tomorrow in IMAX. I might see a movie every weekend this month. Hell of a month for movies.

In your opinion, how does it compare to WW?
Extremely different obviously, but I personally thought the 2+ hours of Wonder Woman had a better pace. Spider-Man never felt boring to me or overly long but i just think WW was paced a tad bit better.

Spider-Man has an incredible mid-credit scene teasing what is to come. It has 2 credit scenes but the 2nd one is more of just a funny end tag; not necessary to stay IMO

Many worried they would use Tony Stark/Iron Man too much but i thought he was in the right amount. Side characters were really well cast.

I think this is the best Spider-Man for many reasons... side cast, plot, Tom Holland, etc.

It's really tough to choose on which one is better. I'll say Spider-Man: Homecoming is a top tier MCU film... top 5-7 for me.

As good as the first incarnation, with the sequels and previous "re-boots" not fairing well by comparison.

Better than WW? I know it's all subjective, but I think WW with its scope and scenery was a bit closer to an "epic" of old and stands solidly above this effort. Not that is anything wrong with that, this was (for the genre) near the top of the heap.

SPOILER ALERT: I didn't appreciate getting trolled by Capt America however. I thought that was really lame and my son and his buddy were not amused as Marvel had taken some pains in the past to leave the audience with something good, and this just seemed to have left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. There were even a fairly substantial smattering of boos from the 75% of the audience who had stuck around to see it.

I thought it was hilarious (the end credit).

I was kind of meh on the movie as a whole. Mid-level MCU for me. Not as good as Raimi's first Spriderman IMO.

Those Raimi movies are so overrated. Just like the Dark Knight Trilogy.

Agree with these points. I like this movie, but not enough to consider ranking it in my top 5 for MCU. I think that Keaton made the movie. Had he not been in it, I would not have enjoyed it nearly as much.

I would put it, and WW, on about the same level. Both movies were fun and good movies, but both had a few holes that bugged me (no pun intended).

It was a pretty good movie. Of course you've gotta understand that I love this crap.

Kind of an interesting angle with Tony Stark's involvement.

Oh, and Michael Keaton is still Batman -- even when he wears a villain's mask.

That was a bad-*** comment he made in prison in the bonus scene.
