My great uncle was murdered in 2004. Stabbed more than 30 times. Still unsolved. There was a suspect but they could never get enough proof. I’ve tried to get some true crime podcasts to pick up the story to no avail yet.

My aunt was the victim in a murder-suicide. Absolutely horrible situation
My 25 year old cousin was driving a cab in St Louis in 2000 when some junkie jumped in his cab, robbed him, shot him and left him for dead. He is still in prison. Hope he dies there.
I read that as “ have you ever solicited someone to murder a family member”?

Not a family member but a friend of mine who I played baseball with was murdered in Lexington, in the 80s, I believe. Big case in Lexington. Girlfriend had a crush on another girl and they and a scumbag boyfriend ended up stabbing my friend to death and leaving his body at Lakeside Golf course. Think it was for $100k insurance money or some small sum like that. IIRC, ***** is still sitting in jail.

No but this story happened to a good friend. His brother dies in a car crash on a Tuesday. On the day of the viewing his parents hadn't shown up an hour into it so he decided to go check on them. I bout went but he said it's fine. Here walks into his house and his dad killed his mom and himself in a murder suicide. How ******* insane is that? He never got over it and killed himself a year later in the same house.
My younger brother was shot and killed in February of this year. The shooters are in custody and awaiting trial.
I haven't, but my wife has had 3 cousins murdered. In 1980, her teenage cousin and a friend were abducted by a guy posing as a cop. They were raped, throats slashed, tied to a tree and left to die. Her cousin died, but the other girl lived and managed to escape. Her killer was up for parole again earlier this year, and was yet again denied. This was on a Discover Network show this past summer.
She had another cousin was was executed by her estranged boyfriend as she begged for her life in 1985. Believe it or not, this sonofabitch has been out of prison for a good while. She broke up with him, then he went to her house meaning to kill her, which he did, execution style as she was on her knees pleading with him.
Another male cousin was beaten to death in a fight over a card game. Her uncle and his wife had 4 kids. Two of them were murdered and they lost another one to a drug overdose. I can't imagine how they kept their sanity as long as they did.

My wife’s great aunt was also murdered in Louisiana. I had to check the year cause thought you all could be related. Ha! Nope, it was in the 70’s. She was shot in a parking lot as someone tried to steal her purse. She wouldn’t give in though, and there you have it. She was known to be a tough lady!
