Spinoff: Do you wipe sitting down or standing up?

For about 20 years of my life I stood up during this process. Tried sitting down a couple of years ago and haven't look back since. It has been an enlightening discovery and while I do not pity the standers, I would encourage you to give it a week trial run.

So my question to the Paddock: What is your preferred wiping position if you indeed wipe?

well ya see... the seated position is actually the worst position for the health of your back. The standing position, other than laying supine with a pillow under the lordosis of your low back, is the best position for your back in terms of stress.

I am sometimes in a state of stress or distress, pre-dump. Not so much afterward and I sit. Wouldn't it be a bit awkward taking a dump while supine?

I always look at my paper after I wipe before I can throw it in the toilet. I do so because I will fold it over so I can have a clean side. I am very efficient in the use of my paper. Something my Dad taught me at a young age. He used to get pissed when I would waste toilet paper so he taught me the folding and re-use method.
