I know some say we complain about Duke too much but what gives. Last year Carolina was getting two straight home games.

Kinda the same for Gonzaga for non-con games.

Versus any comp this year:

UK: Nashville
OU: At Spokane, WA
Creighton: At Zags
ASU: At ASU (shocking, but ASU isn't much of a risk)
Bama, MD and Michigan: Vegas

Later:

UCLA: Climate Pledge Arena Seattle

I would have assumed it has something to do with the amount of money they can make at a home game versus away but Duke plays in a glorified high school gym so no idea.
Yeah idk why teams like Duke don't build a bigger arena. The revenue discrepancy alone from 8-9k fans vs 22-23000 over a season of events is a astronomical number alone but I guess duke has all the fancy lawyers and Nike that keeps them afloat.

Same reason we never truly expanded Memorial. Cameron Indoor is pretty sacred to them. Like Memorial is to us. I could see them building a new arena before ever touching Cameron.

Plus, that small environment makes it VERY loud and VERY hard for visiting teams to play in.

Oh yeah for sure but we have given memorial more less to the women sports. Just surprised duke hasn't at least upgraded seating or anything. Build a nice arena, play a handful of games at Cameron for ole times sake and let women BB, VB etc use Cameron.

It’s a pretty poorly kept secret that Coach K’s sarcophagus lies in the catacombs beneath Cameron. Any construction might unleash the undead into the world writ large.

Huh? We moved out of Memorial almost 50 years ago for the much larger Rupp Arena. What point would there be in expanding Memorial?
