The hyacinth, daffodils, Korean Spice viburnum, winter heath, hellebores, ajuga, Jonquils, tulips, Virginia blue bells, berginia, and bleeding hearts are all in bloom right now. Love this time of year.

I know its not often looked at as a favorite season, but I think Spring is the best for me. Nothing like coming out of the winter, warm temps, light out later, things in bloom, summer is coming.

And for all those reasons being the inverse, is why I've never really liked Fall.

Love the fall and the spring. Color abounds!

The flowering trees last year were amazing in Kentucky. Dogwoods, smoke bushes, magnolias, tulip poplars and others just seemed outstanding. While the serviceberry and redbud trees have looked great this summer, I am not seeing the same from the dogwoods and others. Maybe it’s a little too early?
