My brother was an assistant HC at D2 school called Stonehill outside Boston. I think they bumped up to D1 recently. He is of the opinion that D1 NIL will effectively destroy D2 basketball. This might be an example of that.

Saint Francis may be on the cutting edge of survival. As schools realize that they can not afford today's cost of athletics, I believe many more will follow Saint Francis's route to survival.

Yes for sure. Many have already started the process of investigating where they fit in the D3 landscape and how it will affect their enrollment and academic standards

Bryn Athyn College just announced they are cutting all varsity sports. Club only.
