Won't be able to cook my brisket till late tonight or tomorrow do to a project.
I am in Dublin right now. Watched St Patrick's Day parade on O'Connell St.
City streets around Temple Bar area were absolutely jam packed.

I did corned beef with cabbage, potatoes, and carrots in the slow cooker on Sunday. Got up early to start it despite being hungover from a Saturday night St. Patty’s party.

Anyone braise theirs in beer and or ginger beer? Thinking of a can or two of both. I bought one from the grocery store that was pre-brined/ ready to cook.
Wife grabbed a corned beef palate at The NY Butcher shop. Very tasty.
Beer is recommended on some packages and recipes. Nothing wrong with using it.
Yes, but not ginger beer. For braising, I would recommend a heavier beer...stout or Guiness (which isn't heavy). You're basically burning off the maltose in the beer.

I was going to include a can or two of beer in my slow cooker, it was a suggestion in the recipe. But I forgot. I blame it on the whole “being hungover and groggy” thing.
