I've "heard" that Coach Mingione doesn't recruit the Louisville area. Not sure why, there are a lot of DI players in the area.

That seems silly. One of the best programs in the country committing kids in their own city doesn’t mean other schools don’t recruit them.

U6 baseball has this part of the state locked down. Dosen't do bad in the rest of it either.

Their Roster is littered with kids from all over the state. Including JT Benson from South Oldham whos dad played both Baseball and Football for UK.

Don't remember names, but haven't they had several kids from Lexington go there since McDonnell has been at U6. Know several of his best pitchers are from the Midwest. They do a great job of evaluating talent.

It looks like the kid from Lexington Christian was cut as Christmas. He isn’t listed on their roster, but I’m not sure where he is now.

They have a great program. I don’t really understand why people think they won’t sign good players? Of course they will

Our staff has done a pretty terrible job with in state recruiting. There’s been WAY too many kids from Big Blue country end up at UofL and there’s even more lined up in the coming classes.

It seems like mingione’s roster building strategy is to pile up on transfers and sprinkle in some juco and hs players in between. Doesn’t help that our recruiting classes are almost always at the bottom of the SEC and way behind Louisville every year. For some reason he just hasn’t recruited well at all here.
