Not sure if others have mentioned but they are having the game day crew at Grawmeyer hall on campus. It shouldn't affect game day festivities, but I'm sure during the broadcast of the game they will show the start of the expansion.Anyone been by the stadium lately? How does the construction look and how will it affect college game day visually or logistically if at all?
If things keep going the direction they're headed, the silos may very well be our new, on campus, BB arena.Side note, what are you guys doing with the silo property? Have to say what can be seen from I -65 looks great. Always get a good feeling when traveling down south to my in-laws in Nashville and see ACC signage.
Probably because the soil is contaminated underneath and has to be treated/remediated before another usuage is permitted. That old silo site is confusing. When UofL first bought that property they said they would make it a temporary parking lot for the students and football game days. As of today that still hasn't happened.
You don't play your ace-in-the-hole until the right time. Building something on that site reduces your bargaining power. That old silo site is confusing. When UofL first bought that property they said they would make it a temporary parking lot for the students and football game days. As of today that still hasn't happened.
That same thing was true under the north stadium expansion. It's just a cost you have to build into the project...Probably because the soil is contaminated underneath and has to be treated/remediated before another usuage is permitted.
Ok smarty pants. Ralston-Purina was actually the source of the leak of hexane which caused the sewer explosion in 1981. I was on my way to work down 2nd street when manhole covers were being blown sky high.Soybean juices? How contaminated could that be?![]()
Picky, picky.Ok smarty pants. Ralston-Purina was actually the source of the leak of hexane which caused the sewer explosion in 1981. I was on my way to work down 2nd street when manhole covers were being blown sky high.
As long as people are willing to pay to park on gravel and U of L can administer it.A gravel parking lot does not reduce bargaining power
