How do people feel about Stanford joining BIG? Yes, no, meh? For me, I would love to see them stuck at the kiddie table with the remnants of whatever remains of Pac once Big is done. Being effectively in the minor leagues would make playing there much less attractive which would help NU in recruiting.

I feel the same about ND but they will always have a seat at the adult table.

Per reports from a Tweet from CBS Sports Reporter Dennis Dodd

Oregon and Washington have been told by B!G that it is standing pat for now. Waiting on a decision by Notre Dame.

Is there any way to correct your misspelling of Stanford (‘StanDord’)? Northwestern fans need to show the academic elite that we are capable of spelling.

I'm cool with Stanford joining the Big Ten. If they joined the Big Ten Academic Consortium, NU students can register to take their "easy" classes there. USC is already taking away NU's novelty of being the only private school in the Big Ten.

USC is like Miami in the ACC, rather than Duke. Maybe Wake if one is feeling generous. Stanford has higher standords, though.

Stanford's fate may very well depend on ND.

If the Domers end up joining the B1G, they may insist on Stanford (one of their traditional rivals) being the 18th school.

But it's pretty telling that reported B12 offers to PAC schools were to Oregon, Washington and the AZ schools.
