Tampa Bay going for the 3-peat and Colorado making their first Stanley Cup appearance since Ray Bourque's moment in 2001.

What's wild to me is Corey Perry, the longtime Anaheim Duck turned journeyman has now been to three straight Stanley Cup Finals- lost with the Dallas Stars in 2020, lost with the Canadiens in 2021, and is now with Tampa. I guess he figured since he couldn't beat them the two previous years that joining them was probably the best decision.

Pat Maroon is in his fourth Stanley Cup Final in a row, won the previous three (Blues and Lightning).

I know there's only like six people on here that will watch. 😆

Colorado looks like a machine to me, but the Lightning are the 2 time reigning champs so on paper should be a great series. As many others have stated, won't watch 1 second of it, but will give it the courtesy of checking the scores on my phone. I am a Predators fan and granted we were not our best this season, but the Avs annihilated the Preds in the first round. I would say Avs in 7, but again, no hockey expert.

Sucks my Hurricanes had to go the playoffs without the starting goalie (2nd in league in GAA), but he was due back soon. Although the backup played well (at home).

My favorite team hasn’t made the playoffs since 2017 when the Preds beat them.

I’m a big Ovi fan so I found great joy in the Caps winning it all in 2018. But not much else to be stoked about. Will root for Tampa to 3-peat as we haven’t seen that since the Gretzky Oilers squad.

I may never remember a championship more fondly than the 18 win. Dad took me to Capitals games in their expansion season. He fell the Tuesday before Derby and broke his hip which sent his dementia into overdrive. I spent most of that playoffs either at work or at the rehab center. That helped get me through.

Avs should win. IMO, only TB's goalie is better than what the Avs run out there. They're just so deep and play so fast and just keep coming at you in waves. Most really good NHL teams have a few holes on their 4 lines but the Avs have solid talent throughout. Should be a good series. Avs swept the Oilers and I think MacKinnon only had really one game where he shined. Took a lot of shots but couldn't find the net. If TB's goalies play lights out (and they're capable), it will be 6 or 7 games series. If they don't, Avs could win in 5. I would expect CO to outshoot the Lightning considerably every game (like 40-25).

I went to all the game in Denver in the 2001 cup finals. It was a fantastic experience. This is a different type of team. I’m concerned with kuempers ability to make enough saves to win a 7 game series. He’s Swiss cheese. Gonna have to stand on his ear to beat TB

Question is are the Avs deep enough to overcome the loss of Kadri and Girard? Cogliano is very questionable as well. And TB has the best goalie in the world in net.

I'm definitely pulling for Colorado, but my head tells me Tampa wins again.
