I'm surprised they're releasing it tomorrow. I thought for sure they'd do it on May 4th, especially with Civil War opening that week.

So Princess Leia was basically a "sex slave" for Jabba.

Did he ever "fornicate" her?

I mean, I was just a kid when it came out. That kind of stuff never crossed my mind at the time.

But now, knowing what a bad guy he was, and how he had her dressed up and chained to him, you know he did "something" to her. Not really sure what his "capabilities" were, but you know it was something awful.

This is an explanation as to why we see Annakin turn at like 20 and then see Luke at age 20 in the next scene of movie time.

There will also be a rogue 2 explaining what happened with Rey and Luke training Ren going wrong.

Question is who is Snoke!

Also I just watched VII again finally and in her conn croon to the light saber she is screaming for help as the falcon just flew off.

Really don't want to wait until the next one but it will need to be a lot more explanatory for this to work!

The air combat scenes in Force Awakens were the pinnacle of the movie.
I expect Rogue One to be more of that, and with some Top Gun thrown in the mix.

Well do some research and you'll see the storyline is bridging the gap between 3/4.

This is a story of the rebels stealing the plans for the Death Star that they used in Star Wars to blow it up. I doubt there is going to be much new information on episode VII or VIII. We may get some new info on Vader or Emporer Palpatine.

Wait what? Is disney doing like a bunch of star wars movies? Makes sense financially I guess, but are we going to have like 10 star wars movies in the next ten years or something? So are the trilogies the "main" movies and these are side movies explaining them?

What '73 said. This movie has nothing to do with the main story characters. Just a subset about something that truly doesn't matter.

I mean did Luke at least crush Erso(Flecity Jones) or something to tie the story to Star Wars besides just stealing Death Star plans? Because at this point does that even matter?

I was skeptical when they first started talking about the spin offs (I'm still nervous about the Han movie), but this looks great.
While Disney has shown some flops, they have overall done a great job with the Marvel Movies and the new Star Wars. I am not worried about it at all.

Also, they bought the franchise for 4 Billion. They obviously knew they would make money off that huge investment. As a fan, I am super excited. Did they ever cast Han?

Do you think Disney was gonna fork over billions for the franchise, and only make 3 movies?

I think it's great. Side stories that tie in to the main. Give you something to enjoy in between the main films.

Jesus, some of you are just miserable.

Princess Leia is pretty much useless at this point. Would've been much cooler if she had stolen the plans...IMO.

So she's a rich ***** who has the plans that some other badass chick did all the heavy lifting. And then she slutted it up with Han and gave birth to Kylo Ren.

Right, people calling to question the side movie that doesn't have a single main story character in it(maybe Vader behind the scenes) that explains why a bunch of yuppies that don't possess "the force" are capable of stealing the Death Star plans.

At that point what is the point of the force?

Easy fix...Leia is the rebellious youth who steals the plans for the Death Star. And her twin brother, who has been in hiding, ends up shooting it down. Ties the whole freaking story together.

UNLESS!!!!!!!!

Jyn Erso hooks up with Obi Wan and they end up making Rey. [smoke]:100points: This is the story, right? British accent. Jones and Ridley look alike. Rebellious. Etc.

[laughing] Your right doc, I mean Anakin as a child didn't have the force and neither did Rey. They didn't have a clue about it what so ever and just happened to luckily tap into some mysterious existence that made them faster, stronger, smarter and put their senses on :100points:

Shew wee you probably believe we tap into Jesus if we believe in him too.

Looks awesome.

Also, whether you like it or not, this has been established as canon ....

Midi-chlorians were intelligent microscopic life forms that lived symbiotically inside the cells of all living things. When present in sufficient numbers, they could allow their host to detect the pervasive energy field known as the Force.

There are three spin offs planned:

This one which, as mentioned, has been described as a Star Wars heist movie about the stealing of the Death Star plans, plans which R2D2 is carrying at the very start of the original Star Wars movie and which Vader is looking for. Vader is expected to be in it.

They are also doing a Han Solo origin movie, with obviously a new actor for Han Solo. Chewie and Lando are expected to be in it.

There is also going to be a Boba Fett movie, chronicling his days as a bounty hunter.

Then you have the two new "trilogy" movies.

And have you seen Jabba's tongue? You know it wasn't just for show.

This movie looks cool, we saw Count Dooku (still hate that name) with the death star plans at the end of Episode II. We see the Emperor and Vader overseeing the construction of the Deathstar at the end of Episode III. So this film will show us how the plans made it to Leia, who then gave them to R2-D2 at the beginning of Episode IV.

I wouldn't be surprised if the last scene in this new movie is the Corellian ship being captured by the Star Destroyer that begins Episode IV. Hopefully we also get some cool new Darth Vader scenes, because him hunting down and slaughtering the remaining Jedi would be an awesome film.

The more posts I read the more excited I am to see it, literally had no idea they were planning other movies. Getting the movies away from George Lucas was really the best thing they ever did, which is so bizarre that he created them but ended up really being just a terrible director and writer. Plus I'm assuming they can make the "spinoff" movies a bit darker and grittier.

That all sounds very dope and very special , especially considering the current state of movies.

Okay, just managed to watch this. Holy ****, it looks awesome. Love seeing all of the original designs (stormtroopers, death star, ISD, Emperors Guard, rebel soldiers... even the rebel base on the moon of Yavin, and Mon f'ing Mothma!) in a modern film without some dipshit director messing with the established look.

This looks f'ing awesome. Holy hell. Dark and serious and awesome.

And I'm sorry, was that finally a samurai-style guy in Star Wars? Normally I would trash it, but sorry, he looked cool.

Was the guy in white supposed to be Grand Moff Tarkin?
