Not sure if everyone knows this YouTube channel. But Connor Pierce and Marcus Blaze conduct interviews with current PSU wrestlers and it’s really cool getting some insight. There have been 4 so far. Duke, Desmond, Henckel and now Welsh.

I will update thread when I see new ones come out but feel free to post them here if you see them before I do. Enjoy!

Yeah, several of the vids have been posted among other threads and are a fun watch. Maybe the best source for actual intel on team dynamics and fun inside stories I have seen yet.

I like your idea of posting them in one thread, but with this crowd ….

These interviews are terrific. My favorite was the interview with Rocco where they talked about the coaches. Blaze said “Cody is the strongest 140# man in the world”, plus they talked about Casey’s crazy top game, and Cael’s otherworldly scrambling ability. Good stuff.

I liked when they discussed the shoes. Sounds like WH has more shoes than my wife.

Awesome interview and nice intro segment where they analyze a prior match. This was with the Iowa 3rd stringer. Very complimentary of Sampson's farm strength. Also funny where he heard Brands yell "the double is open" and Sampson shot. Josh's instant thought was "no it's not", but LOL that he heard Brands. Seems like the team is super tight, and all of the 2nd and 3rd teamers also play a huge role. Also the inclusion of Levi's Dad (the original Mountain Man) and Tyler's Dad (supplied him with half a cow to literally beef up to 197 last year). Fun stuff. Again, I'm hoping that Conner and Marcus are getting nice NIL from State Media and Family Clothesline for this.

I think we should support these guys. I can really get a good glance into their and their guests personalities.

How can I do it within the rules?
I've been watching for one of you clowns showing up doing a walk-by outside. I suggest we pin it up top.

I'd like to meet Cael someday. Next year might work for me. I hope he writes a book someday.

If anyone hasn’t watched these videos, you have to see them. They give such an inside look at what’s going on. I’m impressed by the team spirit.

like Josh said when he went on his 5 recruiting visits and was trying out schools, he said everyone seemed to be so happy to be at practice at PSU, and he wanted to go to a school where he would look forward to practice and being with the team. There is a lot to unpack on these interviews.

Does Blaze always have a mouthful of tobacco? You'd think he'd be too smart to pick up that habit.

I had a couple high school teammates that chewed pretty much daily. One was the most decorated wrestler on the team. He also enjoyed an occasional Swisher Sweets cigar on the weekend.

He was always trying to get me to try chew. I finally agreed one day. I threw up 8 times within a few hours of the experiment. 🤢

That ended my chewing days. Nasty.

My one experience was on the way to little league one day. I had bought a can of gold river and thought I was cool and put some in my mouth while walking with my friend and just like you I immediately heaved. Never tried it again and never tried smoking. Tobacco is f'ing gross.

It's still stupid. Why would anybody choose to get addicted to something?
As a kid, we cousins spent a good deal of time around my grandpa, an actual cowboy in his earlier days. This incident took place when he was in his 60’s, we were goofing around and doing a little bit of work near a fence row. He was chewing RedMan tobacco and of course we wanted to try it. After ‘convincing him’ he gave us each maybe two-three strands to chew. He explained how you placed it, don’t swallow, spit, etc. Five minutes later I was on the ground with one of the biggest bouts of vertigo I’ve had in my life. Never tried it again. Good job, gramp.
