Why can't those areas that have them actually go through the democratic process to determine their fate? If the need to be removed by vote, then do so. Move them to a museum where they can be put in some sort of context.

This has nothing to do with racism anymore. It has to do with anarchy and hating America. They want to take America down because they hate America. They're wanting Abraham Lincoln's monument taken down and he signed the Emancipation Proclamation, for crying out loud.
It is MUCH bigger than racism...Racism is now an excuse. This is about destroying America and all of its history. Leaders from both sides are allowing it to happen, except for President Trump. He's the only one fighting back. The swamp is in hiding.
