I know I'm just full of all kinds of good news, so here's some more. Former Sooner WR and current NY Giant WR Sterling Shepard fractured his thumb during the first day of camp at the NY Giant's training facility. He will be evaluated week to week, but he was expected to step up now that WR Odell Beckham, Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns. Good luck and best wishes on a speedy recovery!

Theres a significant difference in terms of outcomes between "break" & "fracture." He could be ready by the first game with a fracture.

It’s a fracture & they’re optimistic about him being ready to go at the start of the season. He & Tate look pretty poised to have big years because they’re pretty much it as far as wr’s w/ experience go. Their corps just took another hit too; Coleman tore his ACL & is out for the season.

Fracture and "break" are synonymous. Fracture is a medical term. Break is a layperson term. The question is whether or not it was significantly displaced or comminuted (fragments from multiple fracture lines). Significantly displaced and comminuted may require surgical repair if it can't be non-operatively reduced. 4 weeks in a splint or cast is fairly common for a simple fracture.
