Yeah this kids a stud but i have a hard time believing we’ll pony up the type of money for one player that it’s probably gonna take to land him.
He’s one they might do it for. Kentucky boy #1 in the country. Pope needs this one. Well maybe not but I want Pope to land Stokes so bad just to let everybody else know he’s not playing and this is UK.
Really no coach has gotten top talent here besides Cal since I’ve been a UK fan. Ik Rick P had talent but that was right before my time. I remember Tubby had good players and Billy G had a couple good ones like P Pat. Seems like Pope isn’t shying away from going after top talent at all.
Really want Stokes for Popes sake. Would be a huge win.
Tubby had some top end talent his first few years, then he just stopped recruiting basically. Those 2002-2005 teams were pretty loaded, especially 2002 and 2003. After 2005, it dropped off significantly.
When Felton left Tubby's staff the recruiting went down hill fast.
Eddie Sutton was a good recruiter. He always landed HS All Americans

If he truly doesn’t wanna duck the smoke Kentucky practices will be where the war is if most come back. Kelsey might be the most likeable coach ever at UL but I still don’t like him or his goofy glasses. L’s down and go big blue!
