Unless that statement is that he's retiring effective immediately, then I don't think he can say much that will make a positive difference for fans.

Only thing I desire to hear is “ my time at the university of Kentucky has ended “

Barnhart missed his chance last year when it was obvious the "juice" was missing from the program...

Yep, am aware of Stoops' suffocating contract issues....

Not much to say

Death spiral continues along with mediocrity

Mediocrity means somewhere in the middle. We're nowhere near the middle right now. We're duking it out with MSU to see who sucks less and will finish 15th in the conference.

Sucks for both them and us that we’re no longer permanent opponents to each other.

I'm guessing he has not lost a wink of sleep about it

You can't be serious. That seems absurd.

My guess is that the news is premature. Marrow is famous for putting Kentucky in these positions so they will give him a raise. The lack of an announcement may mean they are still negotiating.

I suggest not jumping to conclusions. I am waiting to hear a real announcement.

Speaking of absurd. Once this news is out, it’s over. Like once Cal was confirmed to be taking to Arky, it was truly over (no matter he thought if he could wiggle his way back in)

What's over?

BTW, I hadn't heard that Cal tried to wiggle his way back in. That didn't happen. But if you believe that, I won't try to talk you out of it.

It’s over, Vince is gone. Once news is out that you’re going to Louisville, you can’t come back.

Go Back and Look at what happened during that week when it broke that Cal talked to Arky. Cal very clearly tried to salvage the UK job at the last minute and Mitch was not having it since he breached his contract. This is well known information.

I don't think hes coming back this time. However I do agree the pressure for a statement is premature. Nothing will be said until vince has his contract finalized.

If it was any other assistant coach and any other school, I’d be like sure, maybe he’ll come back. But when the news comes out it’s Louisville, it’s over. You either go to Louisville or someone else, but not back here.

Most things I've read have stated since Vince Morrow is taking a GM position, not an active coaching position, there is no contractual violation. Also no buyout clause.

He can't just stay silent on this one

Sure he can and has. When the AD says he can comment on I'm sure he will. I don't need anyone to say jack about it. I'm good with it. It's over. Moved on. I know that's hard for a lot of UK fans because it's personal to them. I get it.

It's gonna be coach speak and not really address anything or revealing of it so what are we really expecting. I'd rather he's focused on recruiting and fixing the mess that was last year, as well as finding a GREAT COACH, if possible, to replace him and really coach up our TEs.

For decades I've wanted to be TE U. We've had such great TEs over the years and never really featured them. I'd like UK to take over and dominate that position in the SEC.

FFS I'm stoked now, because we just freed up 1.3 MILLION dollars! Should be able to get 1 or 2 great coaches with that money, or 1 great coach and reduce premium ticket prices for that one game next year by $10 per ticket, or $8 and print t-shirts for the stadium for another. LFG!

That’s what’s odd maybe VM violated his contract in someway?

The lack of communication from UK Athletics just seems something is off?

There's a fine tooth comb being applied, no doubt. That's a sht ton of money and UK should be working on getting it or some of his money back. They'll sort it either way

I haven't a clue about what Stoops could say. Never heard him bad mouth a former coach.

This is business. Big money business. None of us know anything for sure of what's going on. For all we know Stoops could have told Morrow he was getting ready to leave in a year and Vince better grab a new home.

It's over. On we go. Give Conrad the TE coach slot and roll on.

You'd expect some type statement saying hate to lose him but all is well...

He's always talked once he has a replacement contracted. Then he'll give the standard "just got to upgrade whenever and wherever we can," "next man up" stuff. It'll come
