That plus the buyout will keep us stuck with him for at least 1 maybe 2 more years. I don't know if even a fan revolt will force Barnhart's hand. Will he let the fans dictate his job again? With Stoops on the hot seat, what decent assistants would want to come here? We will continue to decline, lose recruits, and end up right back where we were when Joker was fired.
The only thing that will be good about the Stoop's era is that he helped get us the new and upgraded facilities. The next guy will be starting right back in a hole again unless Barnhart just eats the millions from the ignorant extension or Stoops does the honorable thing and resigns while we still have some decent players on the team. If not then you can add another 4 or 5 year of rebuilding.
