We're the most patient fans in college football, right? We go to games and support the team no matter what. UK football has been tepid for 50 years and we still fill the stadium. If somebody gets grumpy on the forum, we jump on them and tell them to sack up and be a real fan and support the team, because that's what we as fans are obligated to do.
And that's why we fail.
Get real, people. Mitch Barnhart doesn't respect us. He calls us microwave fans and hires people like Gillispie, Joker, and Stoops. He sneers at us in public and laughs at us in private, all the while spending tax and donor money like a lottery winner in a strip club. He scoffs at the thought of hiring Petrino because of "reputation" but somehow manages to fit the square peg of Calipari in the round hole of that logic.
The truth is, Barnhart doesn't care about football. He cares about MONEY. More specifically, YOUR money.
You want Kentucky football to improve? Improve in a real, lasting way? Start acting like Bama fan. Do you think Bama fan, after four years of this nonsense, would still be saying "Give him time, you need at least seven years to build a program?" Of course not.
Stop paying for tickets. Stop going to games. Stop donating money. Send a message. Barnhart needs to go away, and the "powers that be" need to take this seriously. Otherwise it's going to be "rinse, repeat" as long as they get their money.
