Hopefully they up the salary level then what was posted on the PSU Jobs board, he won't be able to support his family in State College on that salary band.
Franklin is a town in Pendleton County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 721 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pendleton County.[6] Franklin was established in 1794 and named for Francis Evick, an early settler.
He made about $2mm in his three years with the Illini, so if he didn't fritter it away he should manage to survive,
Why pay analysts when the only omniscient ones are right here and free?
The best, and possibly only restaurant in the Franklin area is Fat Boy's Pork Palace.
Not all alumni and fans of Penn State football are feeling positive about the direction the program is going.

So I just did a quick comparison of the 2011 and 2021 PSU Football Media guides to see how much the Football staff has grown over the past 10 years.

Jeebzus....you have a bad case of "whataboutism". The size of Saban's staff relative to Franklin's is unimportant. Saban has put a quality product on the field and has enjoyed success. You can't say the same about Franklin's Empire.

He's rebuilding a program that hasn't had a legitimate title contender since 1994- not an easy task, and a lot harder than it was 30 years ago before the really big money became the main driver in what we laughingly call "college" football
It's a rather long rebuilding project without much to show for it. The last two seasons show he's already apexed professionally
In ten years Franklin will have a staff of 100+ and a .500 record.
The postings are no longer up and I no longer have access but I do remember the top of the band was $79k.
That was how much they get from PSU how much do you think they get ‘under the table’? I’d say whatever it takes
Once you accept the fact that Penn State will never, ever, ever win a national title again, it’s kind of freeing! In fact, it’s bliss.

If support staffs are the new arms race in college football, then it looks like LSU does not want to be outspent.
Ross Dellenger of The Advocate recently obtained the 2018 salaries for LSU analysts via a records request with the university. Dellenger found LSU is paying 10 analysts a combined $595,000. The salaries range from $30,000 (former NFL assistant Donovan Jackson) to $76,500 (Ronnie Wheat).
The offensive analysts are listed as follow:
Jorge Munoz – $70,000
Steve Kragthorpe – $60,000
Brad Kragthorpe – $50,000
Blaine Gautier – $48,500
Donovan Jackson – $30,000
The defensive analysts are:
Kevin Coyle – $70,000
Mark Criner – $70,000
Aaron Schwanz – $70,000
Ronnie Wheat – $76,500
Leon Wright – $50,000
Analysts are not allowed to participate in on-field coaching according to NCAA rules and typically do not go on the road recruiting except in the instance of a staff vacancy. Dellenger’s report notes that the 10 analysts are “at will” employees and not under contract with the school.
While circumstances vary, it is interesting to note that many of the LSU analyst salaries are higher than the salaries for Alabama’s high-profile analysts. Former Tennessee coach Butch Jones will reportedly make $35,000 at UA this fall.
The Crimson Tide previously paid Steve Sarkisian the same salary in 2016. Current Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley made $45,000 as an analyst in 2016.
I actually think it would be interesting if they did hold interviews to hire one member of this site. It might actually get the fan base more engaged. I know it’ll never happen but I find it funny and it would make for a great reality tv show
