Coming into the season I was concerned about the loss of Brockington and Jones. After watching last night, I think we may be OK regardless. A couple observations of my own:

  1. I love Sessoms aggressively going to the hoop. He's very quick and adept with both hands. Brings a dimension we didn't have consistently with Wheeler.
  2. PIckett has a nice mid-range jumper, looks like he could be a strong 3rd scoring option (behind Lundy and Sessoms).
  3. Our frontline should be more serviceable than last year. Harrar is a beast, has really worked on his game. I didn't see a whole lot from White (seemed somewhat slow on D) but I imagine he'll continue to improve and hey, he's 6'8". Looking forward to seeing what Greg Lee can do once the foot heals.
  4. We're going to need more out of Dread, he was scoreless and I don't really remember seeing him make any type of impact on the game.

Does Dread a shoulder issue? He was wearing a large sleeve on his right side.

I was at the game. My concern about White is his size. He is very thin and will have an issue in the conference getting pushed around. This team has some runway to get better. Add in the newly signed class and Shrews has this going in the right direction.
