1. Don't foul Moretti. He'd made 92% of his free throws this season. Guard him, but your odds are better if he shoots from the floor. Deflect, if possible. Impede his view of the basket. But don't let him rack up points at the free throw line. Late in game, don't let him get the pass-in.
2. Guard Ramsey as closely as possible. If he gets even tiny space, his shots are deadly. He's the guy with the facemask to protect his broken nose.
Baylor won by 5, I think, at TT. Good, close game all the way.
Saturday, when #17 WVU hosts #22 Texas Tech at 6 p.m. and #4 Baylor plays at #3 Kansas at 1p.m., would be a great doubleheader to watch.
I think WVU, with its Pitbull Defense, is capable of beating both TT and Baylor. But only if the free throw shooting and floor shooting improve and the rebounding stays awesome. I think Oscar, if he stays out of ticky-tack foul trouble, could dominate both games.
I can't wait for Saturday!!! Let's goooooooooooooo, Mountaineers!!!!
Ironic that the Big 12, known for offense in football, may be known this season for defense in basketball with WVU, TT and Baylor all extra good at it. Kansas has a ton of great shooters.
When those 4 teams match each other it should be a great warmup for March Madness.
