This old man's eyes glaze over with all the streaming options. Read today Paramount+ & Showtime are merging. What does this matter? How does it affect anyone? Aren't there 73 or streams? Thanks.

Doesn't affect me. I don't pay for streaming. We piggyback netflix and have hbo max through our att plan. We have hulu, but going back to cable. Hulu was $45 when we started 3 or so years ago. It's up to almost $80 now. Just not worth it. Looks like it's gonna be like it was during the landline battles back in the day. Back then they would send you a check to switch carriers. I switched every single time. Now, the money will be in the form of saving on monthly bills. I watch too much tv as it is. If it weren't for sports, I would definitely just have an indoor hd antenna.

From what I read it means pretty much nothing. You can already bundle Showtime with Paramount +. They are really just shutting down their Showtime service and moving it over.
