Every time I post something like that, somebody says what you said. Then later, I often get a couple of thank yous from someone who didn't have access to a tv at work or whereever. Every other board I'm on, discusses these things. So if you don't want to discuss it, you don't really have to. Today, was the first time in SEC history, that two top five teams in the SEC lost to unranked teams of any kind.We have tv's plaino

And Vanderbilt had never won a game against a top five team in their history. Especially on a day when the Sooners were OPEN DATE guys, I thought someone would be interested, even if you weren't. No problem. But your displeasure about it, won't stop me from doing the same thing in the future. Sorry
You left out Misery and the Gaytors.I am not an Arkansas fan by any means but this Razorback team is really good. How good is the question. They are as close as anyone to be 6-0 at this point. No one is going to blow this team out and I would have to say ( hate admitting this to my wife, son in law and all those other Hog fans ) I would rank them ahead of our Sooners in the SEC. This isn't based on the Tennessee win alone but if you have watched them you will realize this is not the same team as the last 4-6 years. If anything against the Vols they showed that a good offense can move the ball against them. Something OU just didn't have for that game.
Is Texas the cream of the top? Is there even a top team in the SEC this season after seeing Vanderbilt beat Bama? If OU beats Texas and I sure hope they do then it becomes a crap shoot who will win the SEC. With saying that, at this point if I was to rank the SEC teams it would be like below and leave my personal bias for OU out the door.
1. Texas
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. Ole Miss
5. Tennessee
6. Texas A&M
7. Arkansas
8, LSU
9. Oklahoma
10. South Carolina
11. Vanderbilt
12. Kentucky
13. Auburn
14. Miss State
Damn I did leave them out. Thanks for pointing that out. The only thing it would have changed for me would be Mizzou ahead of SC and UF ahead of Auburn. You left out Misery and the Gaytors.
I couldn't put Arkansas ahead of OU since the piggies have 2 losses.
Yeah they beat Tenn but I said it after OU played them that Tenn is not a top 5 team. The media and their fans have been pushing that since the cupcake blowouts and if we had an offense or even a change at QB before it was too late I think we would have beaten them. The SEC looks wide open like a case knife right now. Bama looked like the best team in CF in the 1st half vs Georgia and almost lost that game in the second half, then Bama loses to Vandy. Georgia didn't beat Auburn by a whole lot more than we did and has a better O and supposedly D than we do.
All that said its still pretty early in the season and a lot of teams are still figuring it all out. The schedule doesn't look as daunting as it did early on but its the same every year, SEC teams are pumped up by the media after a few cupcake blowouts and things start to sort itself out during Conference play.
The one thing that stands out is Bamas collapse at Vandy. Deboer won't last long losing those types of games. I do love it tho.
aTm might be the sleeper team right now, the one to watch going forward.
Not sure what to expect for the RRS but hope we can put it all together and get the W. Depends on who is healthy and returns but I doubt that will be a factor. OU's best bet is forcing turnovers and maybe a score or 2 by the D. Texas will likely be No 1 again unless tOSU jumps them. Would be nice to thump texass out of that spot this coming Sat.
My list
I think Georgia is still the best team this year in the SEC but they did piss their pants in the 1st half vs Bama but came back and that was impressive, not many if any at all could come back from that and have the lead late in the game. Not as good as the past 3 seasons tho and Deboer will run Bama into the ground most likely and earlier than most thought. I mean how do you replace a GOAT HC and keep on clicking? I doubt he lasts more than 3 seasons but we will see.

Crazy stuff so far this season and it will continue is my guess. Teams will falter and fall by the wayside and others will emerge with not much thought given to them early on. Hope OU is one of those.
BEAT TEXASS! SAW EM OFF!
Agree. I will add that each and every week the match-ups seem to be more entertaining. Eventually we will see the BIG and SEC create its own league within the NCAA. Its basically already here. This will be life in the SEC as OU and Texas come in….making the toughest conference even stronger.
Every week, any team in the SEC can get ambushed.
I believe this scenario is a byproduct of the SEC being the tough conference on CFB.
I agree and not. Arkansas is a very talented team. But a not great Poke team from up the road beat them, and not sure they've beaten anyone since. Arkansas has done a lot of things to lose games, because they're not a great team, even though they are very talented.I am not an Arkansas fan by any means but this Razorback team is really good. We're far better coached, and that's a big deal.
Arkansas had the same issue last season, they lost a lot of one score games. If they can flip that and they may have vs Tenn then they might just turn the corner.Arkansas issue this year has been the inability to finish. Is Arkansas better than OU right now? Thats a yes and no answer. Currently the difference is they at least have an offense with a pulse and who knows maybe Hawkins finally gives our Sooners a pulse.
Like 67, I have been in Arkansas for a long time and even though my wife is a Hog fan I rarely root for them but this years team is no easy out for anyone. I would not be shocked if they beat LSU in two weeks.
I hope that Hawkins gives OU the spark they need on offense and he certainly has shown he is a gamer. This game against Texas Saturday will tell us a lot about him and SL as its been rumored he has changed the offense to fit Hawkins abilities. We will see.
Having offensive struggles in year 1 of the SEC has not been good timing but at least the defense seems to be legit to keep OU in games. Injuries are a ***** that teams have to overcome though.
