Not a huge Cam fan but I have lived here my whole life so to actually see a super bowl come to NC would be cool but It still does not measure up to a Natty in Durham. Go Duke

Would like to see Peyton win, but I like the Panthers a lot. Maybe Denver this year and Carolina the next three years. First Super Bowl since the Giants' last one that I'm actually looking forward to.

I'm pulling for the Broncos, but I think the Panthers take it.

Carolina Big...Payton hasn't thrown an interception in two games, I don't see him going for three. That supposed great Denver defense gave up 339 yrds passing to Big Ben three weeks ago with the Steelers #1 receiver out. They gave up 310 to Brady. They do well stopping the run but have a terrible time stopping scrambling QBs this year. Denver is going to have to commit a player to spying on Cam and that changes the whole defense. I expect Denver turnovers and an MVP game from Cam, passing and running. I think it may be a three TD spread or more.

Yikes. I hope you got good odds.

A friend I hate is a Panther fan who lives in San Jose. He paid over $1k for a ticket. I guess it's cheaper to gamble.
Risking 200 to net 390, seemed like a fair wager if you're feeling good about Broncos D. I don't need the 200, and will use the winnings to treat my wife next weekend. No guilt here.

I would like to see Payton with the storybook ending, but Carolina will win and most definitely cover.

I've been a Panthers fan from their first year in the league when they played at Clemson. I had a college teammate that started for them that first year on the o-line. I've always respected Peyton Manning, but have to pull for the home town Panthers. I won't be too upset if Broncos win. That said, Panthers 31 Broncos 17.

I'm actually fine either way, I've always liked Peyton since he was at tennessee, Panthers are home team and would be neat to have a superbowl title here in charlotte. I can't say I'm a Cam fan but I don't hate the guy either, I think he is a big kid on the field having fun and that's fine with me. I just hope it's a close dramatic game, but doubt it is. I can see the Panthers by 20.

Not that I think you are morally wrong here, but if you base who you root for on past transgressions, I think it would be impossible to root for any team. There are many players on every team that have done far worse things than Cam has.

I don't base who I root for because of that....I just don't like anything to do with Newton and I'd like to see Manning go out with a ring.

I'm a vikings fan so I never have a chance to root for my team in this game...well i did years ago but not now...maybe soon though *fingers crossed*

And I know it's panthers vs broncos but the media would make you think it's only Manning and Newton on the field and they were going head-to-head with each other

Denvers defense can't keep bailing out Manning. He can't move the offense and is a liability for Denver. Panthers are behind but in good shape imo unless Denver inserts Osweiler or whatever his name is. As much as I have loved watching Peyton he can't move in the pocket and has no arm.

I retract my statement. Denvers D if by far MVP of Super bowl 50.

Denver's defense is a Championship caliber group. Vonn Miller has to be MVP.

Cam Newton lost a lot of respect tonight from folks in his own locker room and across the country. As he should. That was embarrassing.

I like everyone else thought Carolina would win easily but also like everyone else had a gut feeling about Denver and that defense. Nice to see Peyton win another ring. OFC

He made one of the most bush-league plays I've ever seen in football. He fumbled and didn't even make an attempt to recover (which he probably would have) because he was afraid to get hurt. He's getting trashed pretty good tonight on social media....and he should.
