The good news is that although the portal window to declare a transfer closes on May 1st, you still get more time to make a decision.

Why would any player we get be a pipe dream? We are still UK, not some charity case university. The pipe dream is for McNeeley getting the opportunity to play at UK.
He has been recruited for so long, it may be too late for UK to make a push, even with playing time. UK wasn't on his radar till more recently

I'm sure spots on our roster are being pitched as a chance to make a real difference. To be a part of building something special. There are players out there who will jump at that. They'll see it as an opportunity to be very visible.

Need to close on Williams this weekend. Pope can promise him all the PT he wants and not be lying.
Other than Perry, it will be hard to get involved with a kid in HS that other coaches have been working for YEARS. Kentucky kids might be the only ones we get. Year 1 could be a heavy portal year. BYU and their morality contract just didnt appeal to Top 100 talent.
Also Stojakovic. Didn't have a good frosh year but might thrive under Pope.

. The fact pope didn’t announce his full roster in the day of his opening press conference is just not acceptable . Hood lord Dude, we aren’t even 48 hours since Sundays press conference.
