Matt Dimon left the team for personal reasons. He should be back anytime., possibly today.
Smallwood injured himself during practice.

TK and Cody have looked good in the new offense, but Mayfield has looked better.

A certain player that has started the last couple of years had been slacking off until the new coaches told him his starting position was not guaranteed. Since then, he has picked up his practice habits two fold.........

That is all...............

Carey posted some really interesting news over in CC. Notably about maybe something developing in the RB depth chart.

Going to be really interesting to see who starts at QB. I would not be surprised at all if it was Mayfield.

While I have not read about any of the four quarterbacks separating themselves from the other three, I do not believe that this team's biggest issue is at quarterback. Since Landry Jones' departure, I no longer look for gaudy passing numbers. What I want is good execution and the ability to ad lib when necessary....much the way Heupel did in 2000, when his numbers were not prolific and all he knew how to do is to not make mistakes and win games.
The depth at wide receiver, rebuilding the offensive line, rebuilding the secondary, improving the play of the linebackers, finding a good kicker, finding a good punter, as well as some luck in avoiding injuries, are bigger issues as far as I'm concerned.

New Coaches Wired ...

If you have not had a chance to hear the new coaches on SoonerSports.com, you might want to check them out. They are briefly being wired during practices. Very impressive group.

Until these coaches and players win a national championship at OU I'm not buying into their hype anymore. It's time to shut up and play hard for OU. It's time to be a responsible person 100% of the time,at least by enough to not engage in behavior that can get you arrested.

These OU players seem way to easily distracted by their NFL dreams and by thoughts and issues outside the program to ever give a 100% season long lasting (including a bowl) effort for the OU football program and to its team goals.

I think we should lock them in cages and feed them small children to toughen them up. :)

And no chewy fat ones either. Only ones with gristle and sinew!
